TEMPO.CO, Bandung - Pemain sayap Persib Bandung Atep meminta agar pelatih yang akan menggantikan Roberto Carlos Mario Gomez bisa memiliki rekam jejak lebih bagus. "Siapapun pelatihnya, harus lebih baik dari sekarang," ucap Atep, Kamis, 13 Desember 2018.
Manajemen Persib resmi tak memperpanjang kontrak Roberto Carlos Mario Gomez dari kursi pelatih kepala. Saat ini, kursi pelatih kepala Persib masih kosong, dan manajemen masih mencari sosok pengganti pelatih berkebangsaan Argentina itu.
Sebagai pemain, Atep tentu tidak terlalu ambil pusing terkait keputusan yang diambil manajemen dengan mencopot Gomez. Menurut dia, tugas pemain yakni bisa tampil terus lebih baik di lapangan hijau dan siapapun pelatih yang akan menggantikan Gomez tentu diharapkan bisa membawa Persib menjadi lebih baik.
"Apapun itu ya kita mengikuti semua keputusan itu walaupun memang secara tim kemarin cukup baik tapi semua keputusan sudah diputuskan, tentu dengan pelatih baru nanti mudah-mudahan bisa mengangkat prestasi Persib lebih dari yang sekarang," kata Atep.
Disinggung ihwal kriteria pelatih yang akan menggantikan posisinya Gomez, Atep mengaku tidak mempermasalahkan apakah nantinya Maung Bandung--julukan Persib-- akan diarsiteki pelatih asing atau lokal.
"Buat saya sebagai pemain sama saja, yang pasti pelatih ini harus bisa cepat tahu kondisi liga kita dan cepat menyatu chemistrinya. Siapapun mau lokal atau asing, kami akan dukung," katanya.
